Important points Before Deactivating Your Account

Withdraw Your Money: you must withdraw all your earnings before deactivating the account, if you have any of your earnings available you will not be able to deactivate your account.

Username & email: If you decide to deactivate your account, that username and email cannot be used again in future for any new account on My Freelancer.

Account history: Deactivating your account does not automatically delete all your account history, if you wish to remove your account activity you must suspend your account.

Deactivate Your Account

Before proceeding, make sure you have no remaining funds in your account. If funds are available, they must be withdrawn or refunded before deactivation.

  1. Go to your Profile Picture > My Settings > Account Deactivation.
  2. Click on Deactivate Account.

Suspend Your Account

Before proceeding any further you must save all important information from your account because once suspended, no data can be retrieved from your account. Please follow the steps to suspend your account:

  1. First, Deactivate your account.

  2. After deactivation, contact Customer Support to suspend your account.

Important Note on Account Deletion

At My Freelancer, we do not hard-delete accounts, even for users who violate platform policies. If a freelancer with a bad history is removed, their account remains flagged in our system to prevent re-registration with the same email address. This policy helps us maintain the integrity and trustworthiness of our platform.
