Resolving Payment Issues

If you are unable to do your payment, do not worry – we are here to help you resolve the payment issue. in this article we will go through some possible reasons which can cause payment failure that might help.

Why Payments Might Fail

1.Credit Card Pending Transactions A pending transaction may be seen on the bank statement if a credit card payment was declined and there was an error. This occurs when the bank approves the charge at the beginning, but an issue occurs, and the payment is cancelled.

Please note that if the authorization is carried out by your bank, the deducted amount will be refunded within 2- 7 working days 

2. PayPal Transactions (Pending) In case a payment attempt through PayPal is unsuccessful, the transaction may appear as pending. In this case, PayPal returns any held amount back to your account with immediate effect. If you want more information, you may consult PayPal directly.

3. Canceled Authorizations vs Refunds Refunding an authorization is also the same as canceling or voiding. As we mentioned above, your deducted amount will be refunded and there will not be any extra charges.

What to Do If Your Payment Isn’t Successful

If your payment is not successful in this case, you will receive any notification mentioned below: 

1.Verify Your Information Make sure you enter the card details correctly; your card is not expired, and you do not exceed the limit of your card.

2. Check with Your Bank In case there is doubt, it may be useful to check with your bank that transactions to companies such as My Freelancer are permitted.

  1. Check with Your Payment Processor

  2. Use Another Payment Type

  3. Retry the Payment 

Charged Twice

  1. You did not complete the checkout, or you clicked the ‘back’ button, or the page was reloaded.

  2. You pressed the payment button several times causing multiple authorizations to be made.
